Ramgarh, Bihar - 1804

Plate 10 from the fourth set of Thomas and William Daniell's 'Oriental Scenery,' which they called 'Twenty-four Landscapes.' The views progress northwards from the far south at Cape Comorin to Srinagar in Garhwal in the Himalaya mountains. The Daniells who passed by the small village of Ramgarh in south Bihar, '...a Hindoo village, delightfully situated in a valley sheltered by hills, richly clothed with woods', depicted its thatched houses and its domed temple reflected in a small tank.
