The "Tanna" in captions means modern "Thane" just outside Bombay. I am not sure who the "Gosaee" are.

Shekhar Sathe, "Gosaee" could mean "Gosai", a surname of a particular caste (i.e. "Bavaji" in Gujarat, not sure about anywhere else.)

Could this men be from the Gosavi community?
