Elephant fighting LION is imaginery. Lions were extint in east and north India by 15th century, all slaughtered

wild imagination ,indeed.

Elephants and Lions were both wide spread earlier. The tamed elephant as shown in this pict used to found even in Rajasthan...The artist may or may not witnessed the moment in his life , incidence could be true. One interesting record is that Rinos were hunted in North India!
