I think that is not a pagoda, but a gopuram....

Hello, Can anybody align the picture here with features on the ground today, on Google Earth perhaps? It is fascinating to me because it shows at least three of the four structures the sailors reported seeing. It must also have been something my 5x gt grandfather Lieut John De Morgan saw when he lived at Fort St David and marched past them on his way to Porto Novo thirty years or so before this painting was done. Did Reimer do many other paintings in this area? Regards Nick Balmer
